"Trespass Hunts and Drop Camps"

With over 30 years of outfitting experience, we can provide hunting clients with premier, private land elk hunts and a true sportsman experience! Burning Daylight Outfitters offers fully guided and semi-guided hunts, on private land in the midst of prime elk habitat. We also offer non-guide, exclusive trespass hunts and drop camps. Exclusive Trespass Hunts

Burning Daylight Outfitters offers exclusive trespass hunts for the hunter who prefers private, easy access to hunting on the national forest. Our private leases are surrounded by the Routt National Forest and we can supply hunters with the great opportunity of easy, accessible entry to national forest hunting. Hunters are escorted across and allowed to camp on the edge of our private property. Hunters are not permitted to hunt on private property or go across private property unless they are escorted by outfitter, but have incredibly close access to thousands of acres of national forest, right outside their tents. Clients provide all of their own gear and food. We only supply an easy access to land that is otherwise very difficult to reach. Space is very limited, with only two campsites available. The cost is $1,000.00 per person/gun.

Drop Camps

Our Drop Camp service at Burning Daylight Outfitters is ideal for the experienced hunter that wants to travel light. Hunters are escorted across our private property to a fully equipped camp, conveniently located near thousands of acres of prime hunting in the Routt National Forest. Camps are already set up and include a large canvas tent, cook stove, cooking utensils, cots and if needed, we will even supply clean bedding (many hunters prefer to bring their own sleeping bag). There's also an outdoor fire pit and pre-cut firewood. Hunters supply their own hunting gear, food and drinks, although arrangements can be made for us to assist you with this. An additional fee will apply. All hunting must take place on the Routt National Forest, but the easy access and camp make the hunt very enjoyable! Drop camp hunters are not be permitted to hunt on, or go across the private property unless escorted by the outfitter. Space is very limited, so early reservations are highly recommended. The cost is $1,500.00 per person/gun.

Hunter Education Requirements - By Colorado statute, everyone born on or after January 1, 1949 who applies for a Colorado hunting license or preference point must have successfully completed an approved hunter education course. All hunters must meet Colorado hunter education requirements.
